Covering: Hold or Toggle?

There was a major gameplay change buried in the previous release notes that I should have highlighted:

  • Change covering to be hold-press. Covering is now done by holding LMB/RMB on mouse or LB/RB on controller.

Covering was previously done with a toggle button, but was changed to be hold-to-press. This was done to make it feel more like you're actually covering your body, especially on a controller with the shoulder buttons. Now that some time has passed, I'm curious to hear what others think of it.

Do you prefer covering be done by holding or toggling?

Toggle!

I personally prefer a Toggle, but as others say it's more of an accessibility issue so an option for the input would be best in my view

I agree with others, it should be changeable: moreover, I'd appreciate if there was an option to move it from LMB/RMB to other buttons like 1 and 2 for example.

I use a laptop with these single-block touchpads and thus click and hold doesn't work for me that much because of how the computer receives the input.

Perhaps when I start using my controller again and/or a USB mouse I might be more open to the click/hold  approach, but not so much right now.

Well, technically this would fall into an accessibility issue. Having it be a setting would be for the best!
Although, holding can be the default. (as long as you make it clear that it can be changed)

What about a Blackmail mode where you're forced to do a random set of challenges? If any of them's not successful you fail.

if its possible i think it should just be a changeable setting,

I actually found it by accident 😂. I think it's good.
